I have always been interested in art and have explored a bunch of different mediums including painting, charcoal drawing, stained glass, collage, water marbling, and digital art.

Art

Music

I have played music for 10 years. I play guitar (acoustic & electric), banjo, and piano. I also sing and write, but singing harmonies is my favorite.

Seven years ago, my best friend and I started a band, now called Apocalypse Girlfriend. We have had the pleasure of playing across the country and becoming familiar with the extraordinary community that is the midwest music scene.

Outdoor Sports

I love being outside, and I love being active and challenging myself. Right now I am most interested in snowboarding, canoeing, bouldering, hiking/camping, and surfing*.

*I am not any good at surfing and find it terrifying.

Travel

I enjoy the perspectives and challenges that come along with traveling. Being somewhere unfamiliar seems to make time move slower (in a good way).

Immersing myself in a new culture makes me question my own culture in ways that I never would have otherwise.

I’ve been to Guatemala, Peru, Costa Rica, and Mexico. I have so many places on my list, but I’m most hoping to go to France soon.
